Choose Accountant

Before selecting your accountant we strongly advise to check the following

  • A Qualified Accountant will always have the following letters after their name ACCA, FCCA or ACA or FCA
  • If Your Company requires audit, check to see if you’re new accountant is authorised to accommodate this type of work.
  • Align the size of the firm of accountants with your business, it is often the case that similar size business have more understanding of each others needs.
  • We highly recommend involving a Qualified Accountant prior to forming your company as they hold invaluable advise as to how, When, Cost, etc.
  • It is very important to find the right accountant for you and your business, take time to make the right decision, remember it’s a long term relationship.

Initial consultation

  • Ask for an initial consultation (ours are free) get to know your Accountant, ask questions, and be totally happy with your choice.
    • Take your business plan and ask for their views-thoughts on it.
    • Remember your accountant deals with many business’s and has a wealth of knowledge, ask questions that tap into this experience, and help you and your business

The next steps

  • You will receive a letter of engagement, setting out their terms and conditions and who will be your first form of contact. You should always reply, in writing, that you agree to these terms and that you would like to start business.
  • Keep in touch with your accountant, they are not just there at year end
